July 10: Moving the refrigerator back 5 inches, moving the wall into the garage<\/p>\n\n\n

September 7: Artwork is painted, glazed, fired, and laid out on the floor! But we\u2019re going to have to wait a while.<\/p>\n\n\n

September 22nd: Now we\u2019re getting serious about taking the kitchen down to the studs. Eating off paper plates now!<\/p>\n\n\n

September 26: But the REAL inconvenience is not having a sink. Notice that we now have the wonderful lights from Light Center<\/a>! We have to take the drywall off because of all the changes to the electrical and plumbing.<\/p>\n\n\n

October 3: We have our Tharp cabinets<\/a>! Well, at least in the garage.<\/p>\n\n\n

October 7: The cabinet installation begins. Notice that I\u2019ve replaced all the drywall.<\/p>\n\n\n

October 8: And Todd did all the installation himself!<\/p>\n\n\n

The following day, our countertop maker went out of business. So back to square one on THAT story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

October 16: Bryan and I have put in most of the lighting now.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can see the coffee\/tea station over on the west wall. Fancy door handles, huh?<\/p>\n\n\n

November 26: The countertop installers from Castorena\u2019s<\/a> did all their work in half a day! The material is Quartzite, with a satin finish. We’re very happy we did the under-mounted sink. This is two days before Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n\n\n

December 1: So Thanksgiving weekend was spent installing the tiles (all day Friday) and adding the grout (Sunday afternoon). The project has come to fruition!<\/p>\n\n\n

If you\u2019re wondering about the painting in the upper left \u2026 In 2020, we donated Nancy\u2019s parents\u2019 piano to the City of Fort Collins for their Pianos About Town<\/a> project. That is the painting which the artist, Kristen Vohs<\/a>, had used in her proposal to the city. We\u2019re honored! Here\u2019s her picture of the piano:<\/p>\n\n\n
