I talked before about the importance of having gratitude.\u00a0 But it’s one thing to have gratitude for the wonders of the universe in general, and it’s another deal to actually have the right interactions with people.\u00a0 What do you actually DO?<\/p>\n
Well, number one on my list is “Thank you.”\u00a0 Although it costs nothing, it’s perhaps the most valuable gift you can offer anyone.\u00a0 And it’s the fundamental tool of conveying gratitude from one person to another.<\/p>\n
As 2008 draws to a close, I’d like to express my thanks to you, as someone who reads blogs, for helping me to keep my mind open and wits sharp.\u00a0 I thank my manager for being one of the best supporters I’ve had in a long time.\u00a0 I thank my teammates for being really sharp people, always willing to help even when I’m an absolute newbie.<\/p>\n
I’d like to thank a whole bunch of really passionate coaches around the company who give me the emotional lift to be excited about my career even after thirty years.<\/p>\n
