\nRight now, I’m seeing a big gap in the employment marketplace – but probably not what you think.\u00a0 I’m seeing a rapidly growing number of advertised jobs (in October?\u00a0 Go figure!) with a huge number of people still out of work.<\/p>\n

Here’s the actual gap:\u00a0 Many, many people aren’t actually looking for work – at least not as diligently as they once were.<\/p>\n

It’s a lack of inspiration.\u00a0 After you’ve been bashing your head against this problem for so long, you just get worn out.<\/p>\n

But it’s not just those out of work.\u00a0 If you have a job right now, or are creating you own business, count yourself lucky.\u00a0 But are you inspired?\u00a0 Are you bringing your best to your work?<\/p>\n

This became clear to me today, because I had a couple of different discussions where we talked about that loss of momentum.\u00a0 And I see it in the larger society as well – people increasingly disconnected from government action, moving away from organizations and companies.<\/p>\n

I’m not going to fix all of society, at least not this week.\u00a0 Instead, I’ll work on myself and the people I’m close with.\u00a0 Let’s see what we can do about our own personal inspiration and engagement.<\/p>\n
