\nHere at the foot of the Rockies in Colorado, spring is definitely \t\tarriving.\u00a0 We need more rainfall, to be sure, but the trees and \t\tflowers are budding.\u00a0 It’s so nice to be able to let the breeze \t\tflow through our house during the day.<\/p>\n

This helps me to realize that there is a time for rebirth – not only \t\tin nature, but in my work, family, and spiritual life as well.\u00a0 \t\tIt’s time to take advantage of this and change my attitude.<\/p>\n

The first thing I’ll do is put away things that aren’t going to serve \t\tme during the warmer months.\u00a0 That means the snow shovels and \t\twinter clothes, of course.\u00a0 But in my career, I also notice that \t\tthere’s some activities which were once useful but not so much anymore.\u00a0 \t\tPerhaps it’s some groups I’ve been involved with on a regular basis, or \t\tsources of information (looked at what’s clogging the inbox?) that \t\taren’t so interesting anymore.\u00a0 It’s time to retire those with \t\tgrace, and gratitude for how well they served me in the past.\u00a0 But \t\tthen move on.<\/p>\n

The next thing I’ll do is some house cleaning, removing the dust and \t\tgrime and organizing things anew.\u00a0 In my career, I see that there’s \t\tskills which have been a bit ignored, so maybe it’s time to brush those \t\tup.\u00a0 My time and e-mail management tools have not been working as \t\twell for me, so it’s time to figure out how to really make those perform \t\twell again.<\/p>\n

Finally, moving into the new season means that I’ll be doing \t\tdifferent activities than I did during the winter.\u00a0 This is time to \t\tshift the balance a little, so that I can spend time with my family and \t\tget a bit of relaxation.\u00a0 In my career, it’s time to realize that \t\trelaxation and rejuvenation are important – not just escaping from work, \t\tbut maybe looking also at HOW I do my work.<\/p>\n
